Our Technologies

Thermal hazwaste treatment

The core element is the thermal decomposition of residues. This mainly takes place at high temperatures in the presence of oxygen. In order to achieve good combustion efficiency fluids must be atomized to maximum possible extent with use of suitable nozzles. Solids can be finely grinded and decomposed by means of pulverised fuel combustion or with the help of adequate retention times, e.g. in rotary kilns or fluidized bed combustion.

Flue gas cleaning

CTU offers ecological and economical solutions ranging from optimization of existing units to designing, planning and installing new units for thermal processing solutions equipped with suitable flue gas cleaning. With thermal capacities from 1 to 50 MW and treatment of flue gas volumes from 1000 to 200'000 Nm3/h, CTU caters to customer needs of every magnitude.

Renewable energy

CTU's technologies for energy production from Biomass include fermentation of energy crop or harvest residues as well as the gasification of wood. The gas produced is pretreated and can be utilized directly as fuel or indirectly for combined heat and power generation. Typical capacities range from 0.2 - 5 MWel. CTU is the worldwide licensee for the KOMPOGAS® technology to produce biogas from green feed, organic waste and energy crops.
